Molasses and Ruto created the artificial famine by selling Maize to middle men long before the recession started. Maize flour started costing more than wheat flour as Ruto and Fidel (raila's son) accounts swelled like River Nile during the rainy season. Now raila talks of his supervised corruption being 'small' and his usual Taabu and Phil chour clap in agreement. Kenyans are dying as raila talks of spending 1 billion KShs to build his palatial offices. come on, even a silly person can see that the mapambano and haki yetu crusader has his SNOUT STUCK DEEP IN THE HONEY POT to care about the so called starvation.

T think you have to be very carefully not to generalize youths or university students since i was one of the students on campus. just like the match for our slan student activities we had hooligans send in the mist of the students to burn down buildings - you should know better than just talking out of nowhere I'm very disappointed in you
where did you get your facts??
post them here- get the pictures of those seen burning the buildings and process them and tey matching them with KU students and you will find that they are not registered students

The "beef" video is a tongue in cheek response to a legitimate cultural issue which any honest Kenyan/African in the diaspora is compunded with.
I am man enough to confront my foibles, to self-deprecate.

I seriously think anyone with a problem with the way I talk should post a video of themselves demonstrating the way they would like me to talk...other that that fellas, you are cowards (faceless!) looking to undermine genuine efforts by a guy that wants to do what is good for his country.
Cicero, i feel you...Taabu and his ilk are used to whinning, criticism and hatred. He likes talking of DECEPTION, FRAUD..but is himself a messanger of the same deception. how i wish we could move away from such and offer solutions....that will heal our nation.

Honestly, Cicero, dont take your foot off the accelerator. For many small minds (like Taabu of Kumekucha) will wish to derail this project, as they have tried with many productive commentators on Kumekucha.
On a more conciliatory tone with our university student leader, (and I hasten to add that I personally value our university students) I somewhat agree that university administration falls short of creating and sustaining conditions such that students' beefs are felt and addressed on an ongoing basis, if not pretty early on when a problem arises. That university students would react with such passion is symptomatic of a problem got out of hand. On the other hand (!),this does not mean that such violence is a legitimate avenue for resolving the problem.
To be sure, if I were a student leader, I would mobilize my cohorts and suggest that we apologize to the administration and to the public at large. I would even go a step further to get the student body to consider and propose ways of remediating the current problem and to counter such problems in the future. That is really my expectation of such an important segment of the Kenyan population.
Students can contribute enormously towards the democratization of our country. In the past they have.
My problem is with base hooliganism, targeting the very public they expect to sympathize with their cause. I gave an example of a guy who yanks the phone off a booth or a guy who commandeers a private vehicle...this kind of senselessness is uncalled for and should be castigated threefold because we expect them to know better, we expect them to be the ones who provide a desirable alternative to the pack of wolves ruling over us.
This is not an apologia for the university administration or the police; it is a call for the students to quit being hooligans and responsibly spearhead call for reforms.
y'all been talking nonsense, I wud strike anyday until we secure the influence the students formerly held in their affairs and the country at large....now now now, don get me wrong, freedom is never given...it is acquired and thaz what we are tryna do...acquiring freedom that was taken away from us.
